Vintage Singer Style-O-Matic 328K sewing machine with manual, 9 cams, some attachments in nice original Singer sewing machine box, foot control, working light, original manual, Singer buttonholer. Made in Great Britain. I didnt try the buttonholer. Cover and 1st page of the manual have come loose.
Vintage Singer Style-O-Matic 328K sewing machine with manual, 9 cams, some attachments in nice original Singer sewing machine box, foot control, working light, original manual, Singer buttonholer. Made in Great Britain. I didn't try the buttonholer. Cover and 1st page of the manual have come loose. It was made in 1961 as a mid range model with a price tag most people could afford. It stands on its own merits. It's easy to use and easy to clean/oil. And has all the features any beginner, intermediate or occasional sewer could need. It comes with a variety of flat cam decorative stitches as well as the important zigzag and multi zigzag stitch. Great for mending and clothing construction. It's completely metal and built like a brick. To me they're an excellent Singer model for a large variety of people. This is a heavy duty sewing machine. All metal construction with belt. No on/off switch. The light comes on when plugged in-no off switch. Front drop-in bobbin. Electrical cords look good. 9 cams--the zigzag cam is in the machine. When changing the cams, you might need to move the post to the right-last pic. Machine looks great for a machine of its age, and sews as nice as it looks. Has a lot of power. Overall a beautiful machine, well cared for. Runs quietly and smoothly and penetrates dense fabric with ease. I've shown sewing I did with 2 layers of cotton, 8 layers of cotton, 4 layers of denim, 2 layers of heavy suede, and 2 layers of furniture leather. Also shown is sewing I did using all 9 cams. Machine has been lightly cleaned and lightly oiled with authentic sewing machine oil. The only issue I found is that I couldn't turn the tension knob any further than between 3 & 4-pic #9. However, it sewed everything I've shown at this setting. In closing, don't pass up on this great underappreciated Singer! THANKS FOR LOOKING!
