Vintage 1960s Bogene Hand-E-Sewer Handheld Sewing Machine. Self-billed as "a real sewing machine - not a toy" the elusive Bogene Hand-E-SEWER is a portable manual sewing machine designed for light darning jobs such as hems, buttons and on-the-fly repairs. Miniature in size, the Bogene Hand-E-SEWER no.8466 was made in West Germany and imported by Bodene MDSE Corp. in New York. Similar in design to the 'Mini-Sew' hand-operated sewing machine, it's both collectible and functional. Includes the original outer box & instruction paper foldout. Machine measures approx. 4¼" x 4¼" x 2". CONDITION: Appears to be in fine working vintage condition; needle moves up and down nice and smooth. No cracks to plastic body. Box shows some wear due to age, and there's writing on the instruction paper as well as inside the box flap.
