Creation Conceptually, Velvet was created in mind to be a classic villain by the writers. Essentially, she had always meant to be irredeemable, and would have a very satisfying downfall. Part of her prototype character also originally was going to have her use sophisticated words, either correctly or wrongly, to elevate her ego. Design According to The Art of DreamWorks Trolls Band Together, Velvet, along with her brother Veneer and the other Mount Rageons, were intended to be catlike creatures
