A simple project to make a motorized turntable for displaying your other projects. Requires marbles (15mm diameter), the motor from a microwave, a spare power cord, a hot glue gun to hold the power cord in place, 2 M3 bolts and nuts, and a soldering iron. Microwave turntable motors seem to be a standard size, and can be bought online for around $12. I dropped by a local appliance repair store and the guy sold me 2 used motors for $5. You'll likely need to sand the shaft to fit your motor's slot, as I did. Or just measure and re-scale in your slicer. Turn the shaft on its side before slicing for strength. This does require you to have some experience and skill with soldering and live AC power. AC power is dangerous if you don't use it correctly-- causing shocks or fire. Stay away from this project if you are unwilling or unable to assume those risks!
