Care instructions:

I recommend buying a non-toxic mineral oil to apply upon receiving the board and once a month ongoing to continue to nourish the wood. This seems like an extra step but will keep your board from cracking and becoming dry and brittle. Additionally treating your board will keep moisture out which is often the source of germs and bacteria. Buy a mineral oil that's food-grade safe.

To treat your board: Apply a generous amount of mineral oil to the board with a towel. Let sit for a few hours as the wood will absorb the oil. Wipe off what is not absorbed with a clean towel and use as usual.

Hand wash your board with warm soapy water after every use. Lean up against your backsplash to encourage immediate drying. Avoid letting it soak or sit in water.

For tougher stains and deep cleaning scrub with fresh lemon juice and baking soda. Caring for you board will ensure it stays in the best condition.
