Stuffed Felt Woodland Animals - StitchSoup

This adorable set would make a beautiful gift for a child to play with or to decorate a nursery.  The set includes a fox, a raccoon and a tree and each one comes in two sizes: 5x7 and 6x10. The designs are each created very quickly in six or fewer color stops; they are stitched directly on hooped felt – no stabilizer needed; then they are stuffed and the small opening is stitched closed. I strongly recommend using pillow stuffing (you can purchase really inexpensive pillows from Walmart and Target) instead of craft polyfil – the craft fill is hard, dense and lumpy whereas bed pillows are light, fluffy and much easier to stuff into small places.
