Furnace Cement

High temperature resistant silicate mortar for repairing cracked and chipped firebrick and repointing mortar joints in a firebox. When air dried and heat cure it becomes as hard and strong as firebrick. Use it to tuckpoint between firebricks and repair b roken firebricks where the cracks are 1/8 or less. Can be layerd for deeper cracks. Covers approximately 99 linear feet with a 1/8 bead. Meets ASTM E136-79. Withstands temperatures up to 2000-degree fahrenheit.

Heat Curing Process for RUTLAND Indoor Cements

This refractory cement by Rutland can be used to set, coat, or repair firebrick that has been damaged. It is an extremely effective sealant for masonry-to-masonry joints that are less than 1/4 thick and can also seal air and gas leaks around coal or ash pit doors. Once the cement is heat cured it will withstand temperatures up to 2000anddeg; F. The tub contains pre-mixed cement for convenient application. The cement may be painted after it is dry.
