What do i need to paint my LEATHER/LEATHERETTE RUBBER SHOES or LEATHER BAGS? -For Rubber Shoes you would be needing the following: Angelus Leather Preparer and Deglazer - To prep the surface and remove the factory finish of the product (TOP COATING) This would also promote adhesion of the paint on the surface of the shoes. Acrylic Paint of your choice Acrylic Finisher of your choice to protect the paint from scuffs and scratches. If you are painting LEATHER BAGS we strongly suggest to use the following: Angelus Leather Preparer and Deglazer Leather Dye of your choice (Do not interchange LEATHER DYE from SUEDE DYE they both have different functions.) Acrylic Finisher of your choice. What do i need to paint different types of fabrics such as CANVASS or the INSOLE of my shoes? The only difference with painting canvass and other fabrics is to make use of a paint additive which is 2-Soft . This paint additive helps in maintaining the consistency of the fabric once the paint dries off. Acrylic Finisher and Deglazer is optional. What if I am painting plastic or areas wherein the paint will not adhere or dry easily? We recommend the paint additive 2-Hard to be mixed with your acrylic paint.
