<p>Short Gap, WV – Adam Wayne Rice, 49, of Short Gap, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, after a series of strokes over the last 5 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Born December 9, 1974, in Cumberland, Maryland, Adam was the son of Robert Rice, Sr. and the late Alice (Arbogast) Rice.</p><p><br></p><p>Adam graduated from Fort High High School in 1993, and was formerly employed with U.P.S. Adam was known for his love of Batman, the Ravens, and most importantly his family. Adam was so proud of his daughters and loved them over everything as they truly were the lights of his life.</p><p><br></p><p>Besides his father, Adam is survived by his wife of 18 years: Pamela (Kyle) Rice; his daughters: Serenity and Anara Rice; his brothers: Robert Rice, Jr. and wife, Kim, and Michael Rice and wife, Jody; his nieces: Renee Massa, Sarah Rice, Maggie Condon, Callie Rice, and Emma Rice; and his nephews: Joshua, Michael, Jr., Elisha, and Isaac Rice.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, () on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., with Chaplain Paul Demers officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment will be private.</p><p><br></p>
