Do you need just a smidge more room in your chaps? Our chap inserts will help you add 2 to your chaps.

YKK #10 BRASS ZIPPER
The main part of the insert is an elasticized panel that offers a bit of stretch for a snug fit.
This insert has a zipper on each side so that it easily zips into your chaps adding the additional 2.
If your chaps are designed so that the zipper pull is on fringe side of one leg and the straight edge side on the other leg, these extenders will work for you.
The zipper teeth must mesh together for the best zipping.
To select correct length of chap insert that you need, measure the length of the metal teeth part of the zipper on your chaps. Then order the same size OR the next size shorter. For example, if your zipper teeth measurement is 37, then order the 36 insert.

We stock black smooth leather and Ultrasuede and can get other colors of these also.

We stock black, chocolate and sand rough out leather but can get other colors as well. If you want any other color, choose “Custom Color” as the option and specify in the notes at checkout. Any special order Ultrasuede color has an additional charge for non in-stock fabric. We try to accommodate all requests, but are limited by available fabrics and dyes. Also, if you want a specific color to match, sending a swatch of fabric helps us select the best color for your chaps.

There are several choices for the back fastening of your chaps. If you like the look of conchos you can choose between silver or covered in the same matching material as your chaps. You also have the choice of 1 or 2 back conchos at no additional charge. Another option is a back buckle with your choice of Victoria, Floral or Rope Edge designs. Back buckles are available with an additional charge.

If you prefer a leather yoke on your chaps, The Wire Horse can do that, too, for an additional charge. Choose 1 color or 2-tone leather and also choose between having a border only design or basket weave or a carved floral design. If you choose 2-tone, please specify the colors of your choice in the notes at checkout or contact the store.

You can achieve a more contoured and comfortable fit and look with the addition of black elastic down the side of the leg. This is an option for an extra charge.

If your chaps need to be over 34”, there will be an additional charge for that added length.

To insure the perfect fit, please download the measurement sheet and add your measurements to it. Pay close attention to exactly where you take each measurement, using the diagram as a guide. Then email of fax it back to us. Be sure to completely fill out all the info, including your name and contact information. If we have any questions, we will contact you to clarify before making your chaps.

Please allow 4-6 weeks from the time of your deposit/payment is received until we ship your new chaps out.

Hobby Horse Ultrasuede Fringed Chaps. The most popular Ultrasuede chaps in the world! Ultrasuede is lighter and cooler than leather, is more colorfast, and machine washes beautifully.

Hobby Horse uses only genuine Ultrasuede HP, the heaviest weight available, but it is not as durable as leather.
