It is food-safe, washable and durable stencil making material. Not adhesive backed. The sizes listed for purchase refer to the size of the actual design. The stencils are very easy to use - we are sure you'll love working with them. Simply tape it to the surface using yellow painter's tape. Then load your foam roller with the paint (water-based acrylic paint is preferable) and roll it over the stencil, applying medium pressure. Don't press on the roller too hard to eliminate paint seepage under the stencil. Wash it with soap and warm water after use. All laser cut stencils have bridges that hold centers of letters and images in place.
