T33288 Premium Convex Spokeshave Grizzly s premium spokeshaves are a step up from the ordinary. Spokeshaves are used for shaping and smoothing wood, especially for creating and refining curves. The T33288 a straight blade and a convex sole that s good for shaping concave workpieces. The steel blade is flanked by cast-iron handles that you use to pull the tool over the workpiece as a shaving is taken.

These spokeshaves are the most common pattern of spokeshave in use today. Both flat and round bottom models have two adjustable solid brass screws to easily and precisely set your depth of cut. The flat bottom version is for shaping straight or convex surfaces and the round bottom is for concave surfaces. Body is made from tough ductile cast iron and black coated. These spokeshaves are based on the Stanley and Record models 151 and 151R.
