Since the glass tip is hand blown, each tip writes slightly different than the other. The glass pen first writes with a little feedback, but after using for a longer period of time, the pen will gradually write smoother.

About J. Herbin:
La Societe Herbin, Maitre Cirier a Paris, was established in 1670. The original J. Herbin was a sailor, and from his many journeys to India he brought back to Paris formulas for manufacturing sealing wax and inks. Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world.
