Description: A nice looking lustrous uncirculated coin from Switzerland. This is the 1833 one sol coin issued by the Canton of Geneva. The obverse of the coin shows the canton of Geneva arms which has half a crowned eagle to the left and a skeleton key to the right within a squared shield with a sun burst above it and surrounded by the legend "REP.ET CANTON DE GENEVE" along the edge. The reverse shows the denomination in the center within a circle and the legend "POST TENEBRAS LUX.1833." within a border along the edge. The coin has a plain edge. The coin is listed as KM 120 in Krause Standard Catalog of World Coins. It is ~17.5 mm in diameter. The coin is graded as MS 65 by PCGS and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. It is very lustrous with no observable wear and has great eye appeal. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.
