Flexcut KN15 Chip Carving Knife

Flexcut blades, as the name implies, are flexible to give you more control over your cuts. Made of high carbon spring steel, the tool shank gives just enough to follow the contour of carving, eliminating the need to have a handful of traditional tools to finish a single profile. This unique material also contributes to its excellent edge holding capability as the shank is tempered like a spring while the tip is hardened to Rc 59-61, then hand honed and polished.

This Flexcut 70 degree Right-handed 1/4 inch scorp knife is essentially right-angled gouges designed for carving areas where the full length of a conventional gouge will not fit. Knife carvers will find them useful for hollowing deep or narrow cavities. The handedness (right or left) of the knife should be choosen by how you carve, not necessarily by if you are left or right handed. Choose a right-handed knife if you are right handed and carve with the blade towards you.
