To seal the seam between two panels you simply cut a piece to size for the seam, peel off the backing, and apply. The tape is nearly invisible.

To seal the edges of a panel you cut to size, peel the backing and apply all the way around the panel. One half of the tape will be on the panel and the other half on the vehicle surface. This will assure that the edges stay down.

Note - Since Oralite films are made in a single layer they do not require edge sealing to protect the film. However, edge or seam sealing does extend the life of the application by holding down the edges and protecting them against damage from dirt or washings.

This tough strong tape is a high performance packing tape for essentially all your packaging needs. It is real 1.8 Mil thick and 110 yards long, so it is not thin and it is not flimsy. The adhesives are acrylics and they are superior to hot melt in temperature range, resistance to yellowing and improved stickiness over time.
