These Japanese Watercolors are traditionally used for Sumi-e painting. These professional quality watercolors are also perfect for rubber stamping, calligraphy, card making and paper crafts. They are water resistant after drying when wet mounting on absorbent paper. However, they are also fully water-soluble like a traditional watercolor. They are designed for traditional Japanese painting techniques, but can also be mixed with other watercolors to achieve interesting color combinations.
