Ever see a movie where a character gets a chair smashed on his back? That chair was made of balsa wood. And, you’ve probably seen characters—especially in superhero pics—get thrown through a wall made of sheets of balsa painted to look like sheetrock.
Balsa wood looks a lot like pine wood on camera, but balsa is lightweight, soft, and fragile. Balsa is very easy to cut, shape, and carve.
We also carry balsa wood planks (1.5x3.5 in 8 ft lengths).
