The Slice® 10587 Auto-Retractable Carton Cutter offers two clever configurations ideal for anyone working in retail or shipping/receiving. Use the edge guard to evenly glide the 10587’s safety blade along the upper outside edge of a box. This effectively removes the box top in one piece. To use this tool without the edge guard, simply pull the blade cartridge back to remove it from the edge guard, flip the edge guard end-over-end, and reinsert the blade cartridge. The resulting configuration allows free cutting. As with all Slice tools, the 10587 allows the user to change the blade orientation to suit right-handed or left-handed use. The installed 10524 blade features a finger-friendly® edge that lasts up to 11 times longer than steel and never rusts. Automatic blade retraction provides an additional measure of safety.
