my dash warning to replace the wiper fluid lit up a couple days ago, I went to replace it only to realize it was basically full. Went to the dealership today and after telling them what was going on the first thing they asked was did i use Rain-X, they said whatever additive their using gunks up the sensor inside the fluid reservoir and causes it to think its empty all the time.
