Amaco Velvet Underglaze - 2 oz - V-391 Intense Yellow

Saturated color, dependability, and versatility make Velvets as popular for professionals as they are for children. Velvets fire true-to-color as a Cone 05/06 underglaze or fired to Cone 6. Some colors remain true as high as Cone 10. Try two finish possibilities: When left unglazed these colors have the rich textural appearance of velvet; when covered with AMACO clear transparent matte of Clear Gloss they intensify in color.

Concentrated, brilliant and opaque. Color is nearly the same before and after firing, making it perfect for decorating. Equally great when used to cover large areas quickly or for detailed painting and decoration. Paint on Cone 04 bisque and apply covering before final fire. Or, paint on greenware, fire to Cone 05-10, then apply a covering glaze for final fire. If left unglazed, Liquid Underglazes should not be used on surfaces which come in contact with food or drink.

When left unglazed, underglaze has a soft, velour look. Glaze with clear matte glaze for a satin finish, or gloss glaze to intensify color. Mix to create hundreds of colors. Apply to greenware before firing, or on 04 bisque and cover with a glaze before firing. Color remains true when fired to Cone 05/06 underglaze or fired to Cone 6. Lead-free.
