They have have a soft, textured surface 33 mils (0.8 mm) thick that is durable and abrasion resistant. Grip tape adds amazing grippiness and cushioning to all kinds of hoops. Translucent is typically applied around the inside of hoops in widths of 1/2" or less. Black 3M grip tape is very soft and can be applied as a spiral wrap similar to gaffer tape. It helps protect hoops from damaging drops on hard surfaces. Both colors of grip tape can be easily slit to 1/2" and 1/3" widths with our hand held-tape slitter (HOOPLOVE DISCOUNTS DO NOT APPLY TO 3M TAPES)
