Rustoleum Primers: Rustoleum 2X vs Rustoleum Filler & Sandable vs Rustoleum Primer Sealer

Rust-Oleum® high heat primer bonds to bare metal and helps create a smooth top coat finish. It is specially formulated to prevent rust and is recommended for use on automotive engines and other metal surfaces which reach intermittent temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C).

Rust-Oleum 249279-2PK Automotive Filler Primer Spray, 11 oz, Gray, 2 Pack

Designed for use on clean bare metal, previously coated or lightly rusted metal. This primer is compatible with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust brand finishes. This primer is not compatible with top coats that contain strong solvents such as automotive finishes. White clean metal primer covers approximately 550 Sq. Ft. per gallon at 1 mil. dry or 275 Sq. Ft. per gallon at 2 mils. dry. Dries to touch in 2 to 4 hours, to handle in 5 to 9 hours, and to recoat in 24 hours.
